Press Release Pins New Super Mario Bros. 2 For August in NA, More Kirby Events Planned

…And that’s pretty much it, folks. Nintendo sent a press release out today, covering whatever important announcements came out of the Nintendo Direct event last Friday, and this was the only information we didn’t know.

That’s right. No Kirby compilation information yet. There is, however, a tease of a tease: “Additional Kirby anniversary activities will be revealed at a later date.”

Hopefully someone at Nintendo R&D is spending some of that ridiculous money from the reservoir of Wii and DS sales to genetically modify hamsters into tiny, hairless balls with severely deformed mouths. It’d be like a disgustingly bastardized pocket-sized Kirby, and it’d be all ours to love and raise.
