Last night, Buzz Lightyear of Star Command, a PS one game, appeared in the European PlayStation Vita Store. Users were able to purchase the game, and the download went through without a hitch; however, when they tried to play the game they got error code C1-2749-2, or file corrupt.
We know PS One games are on their way to the Vita, but we don’t know anything beyond that. Shuhei Yoshida, head of Sony’s Worldwide Studios, responded to an inquiry about it on twitter saying that engineers were working hard on adding PS One support to the Vita and that we must be patient. Either the game being released in the store was a mistake, or “soon” may be closer than we think.
