Well, as I was going to post this on Blizzard’s forums it was fixed, but the fact that it was allowed to exist at all scares me a little. For a brief period of time, battle.net login services would not properly read the case of your password – you were able to login without using the proper upper/lowercase combination of letters for your password, making breaking into accounts much, much easier for anyone who was inclined to do so. While it was fixed quickly, I’ve already spoken to victims of hacks during the time the bug existed, and the fact that a company like Blizzard – whose success focuses almost purely on their online services – allowed this bug to exist is frightening.
EDIT: While the issue seems fixed for me, some players are reporting that the bug still exists on their end. Blizzard needs to step up and fix this, now.
