2010′s Limbo developer Playdead is coming out of hiding, officially detailing their newest game. Tentatively titled “Project 2,” very little was actually revealed.
The game is a 2D platformer in a 3D environment, and was noted to be “in color” as opposed to Limbo’s surreal grayscale. The story revolves around evil forces that do questionable experiments on human bodies, with you playing a little boy struggling against these forces. The Danish government granted Playdead £1,000,000 for “Project 2,” so expect them to do some fantastic things with such a large budget.
It’s aiming for a PS3, Xbox 360, PC and Mac launch, which is a little odd: the production period was set at 3.5 years, and it began in late 2010. That means we’ll be seeing it around 2014, surely out of this console generation’s lifespan, right?
Here’s a game you can play now that starts with “C:” Canabalt! 25C5-27NE-3GJT (EU Code)
