There goes Sony with some of their famously disgusting promises! This time, their way with words is being used as an attempt to delay something; specifically, it’s about the Playstation Vita’s support of PSOne games, which was promised during the launch window. If you didn’t know, we’re kind of after the launch period.
Sony’s now saying that it’ll be coming with firmware 1.8, and although this was heavily hinted at for June, it’s now obviously got a “this summer” tagged onto it. Also, if you were looking forward to transferring your giant collection of PS1 games to the handheld, you’ll be waiting quite some time, it seems: the Vita will be getting gradual waves of games for a while. Hey, at least you don’t have to re-buy all your PS1 classics to do this! At least, not yet.
