Over the past few hours, several images of varying quality have popped up on the internet, showing Metal Gear Solid 5′s title in the well-known MGS style. Apparently, the game was shown to developers at a secret screening at Comic Con, and is said to tie into Kojima’s yet to be revealed “Project Ogre,” but Konami’s claiming it’s all bunk– well, unless you count the moron running Konami UK’s Twitter account, who egged on the rumor.
Konami UK started tweeting things such as “ ”Fake or real, we love a bit of speculation! #ogre #mgs5,” before kind of backtracking and saying that ”Seriously, just in case the #pinch #salt hashtags weren’t enough – the chap who claims to have set up the fake rumours has been in touch.”
While we doubt that Konami’s PR rep running their UK Twitter would have any real knowledge, he sure is being a bit of a dumbass about it all. They’ve been in contact with the person who set up the “fake rumors?” Sounds a bit like damage control after deliberately goading people on. Whatever happened to good ol’ “We don’t comment on rumors or speculation?”
At any rate, Joystiq’s confirmed that Kojima was in fact at Comic Con, and that he showed Epic’s Cliff Bleszinski something after taking him to a back room at the conference. He tweeted: ”Just got pulled into a back room at Comic Con by @HIDEO_KOJIMA_EN and showed some crazy new secret stuff. Wow.”
What do you make of all this? I’m sure that Metal Gear Solid 5 is in production after recent Kojima comments, and this is a pretty believable scenario.

Definitely in production, though this could still be a believable fake.
To be honest, I'm almost more excited at the possibility of Zone of the Enders 3 than I am MGS5.
...Almost.
