It appears that Sony and SuperBot Entertainment have sent out Beta invites to select Playstation Plus members in North America. While it was known that Asian regions had a recent mass beta invite, it looks like Sony’s trying to keep this western one under wraps for now, as it’s exclusively available via direct email by the company without an application.
If you were lucky enough to get into the beta, you’ll have access to what’s essentially been unveiled in public demos and the like, though the typical non-disclosure agreement is obviously present. The beta’s apparently only active for the PS3 version of the game as well, though we doubt that bothers many people.
If you didn’t get in, don’t despair; Sony has promised an “action-packed” beta for Playstation Pluse members, launching in August. What else could it be besides this? Just in case, though, check your emails for the sneaky invite, and don’t forget to let us know about anything suspicious or new you might find!
