Alundra, Tomba, & Others Confirmed for Vita’s PS1 Launch

MonkeyPaw Games has confirmed that five of their PS1 classics will be playable on your Vita tomorrow, when the fabled update hits enabling PS1 support. Their selection of games is rather excellent, so this is particularly good news:  Alundra, Arc the Lad 1 and 2, Vanguard Bandits, and Tomba will be good to go, especially if you already own them on your PS3.

MonkeyPaw is intent on having the rest of their games up quickly, but we’ve still gotten no word on what games will be available from other publishers or Sony themselves. If this is any indication, though, it won’t be a small batch of games, but rather a large selection. That’s almost as good as all of the PS1 titles on the PSN being supported, I suppose!
