Insomniac Games has revealed that Ratchet: Deadlocked, the last (and highly multiplayer-centric) entry to the series on the PS2, is headed to the PSN sometime this year. Idol Minds are busy working on the port, instead of the long-dormant Warrior’s Lair property for the Vita and PS3; perhaps it’s just to round off their work on the recently released Ratchet & Clank HD Collection.
Which, actually, is kind of surprising. While most would argue that Deadlocked was the worst entry in the series before All 4 One, it’d have been nice to have all the PS2-era games on one blu-ray. Did development time run too long to include this? Was Insomniac worried that this would lower the value of the collection? Is Sony trying to nickel-and-dime us all? You choose!
