You will be able to purchase Borderlands 2 day-one right off of the PlayStation Network in North America next Tuesday, and in Europe on the 21st of September. This is great news for people who are unable to leave their home, enjoy the convenience of a digital copy, or got banned from their local games store for masturbating to the cover of Dead or Alive 5. Sony doesn’t care about that! They just want your money.
The recent release of Borderlands, for free, on PlayStation Plus was a smart marketing move, but now it’s really starting to click. Unfortunately, the retail edition has one leg up over the digital (besides being a tangible product) in North America: premiere club access won’t be part of the digital download, since you can’t pre-order it. If you’re European, you’ll not have this problem, as you can currently pre-purchase the game right now.
