Gravity Rush Director Mentions a Sequel

Did you play Gravity Rush?Vita owners who invested in the new IP for the fledgling platform have spoken praise far and wide about it, and would no doubt be ecstatic if a sequel ever came about. Well, the original game’s director, Keiichiro Toyama, might have accidentally confirmed just that!

Yesterday, a Twitter follower congratulated him on a “Game of the Year” award that it received in Japan; in response, he thanked him and said he would “work hard on the sequel.” After being questioned about this by a rabid group of fans, he clarified his antagonizing comment by saying “it’s a secret.” Right.

Sony would be dumb to not follow through with one of their most beloved IPs of this generation, and I’m pretty sure that it’ll get a follow-up eventually. The original game was originally slated to hit the PS3, but the team got hold of a Vita and felt it would be the perfect fit for the new technology. Time will tell if the sequel will remain one of the few must-have Vita-only titles. Maybe Kat can sneak in PlayStation All-Stars instead?
