Famitsu recently dredged some information out of Nomura, the well-belted monster behind the Kingdom Hearts series, about the recently announced Kingdom Hearts HD Collection and its potential successors. Nomura effectively confirmed that a second HD update will be coming, before the first is even out. That’s not really surprising, is it?
Nomura specifically said that “it’d be unusual” if the game didn’t find itself updated eventually, and you can bet that another couple of games will be joining it when that happens.
In addition to this, he revealed a few new details about the current HD compilation in production. For one, the game will utilize all of the 3D models from Dream Drop Distance, instead of editing the old ones, and that the engine of Kingdom Hearts is being edited so it’s more like its sequel. Way to be resourceful and smart, Square! Now, if we could only get you to do those things on a new game.
