War of the Roses is about to get a boost in content, thanks to Paradox’s new team in charge of the franchise. Sometime next month, a content update will provide all warring medievalists some new weapons, armor, and even some options to customize your warrior’s colors on the battlefield.
Of course, the game is set to receive monthly updates, and Paradox wasn’t shy about detailing what will follow soon after the new equipment and customization: new maps and game modes. Specifically, the new maps will be based after key battlegrounds Wakefield and Towton, which coincidentally were fought during winter.
If that’s not enough for you, some new modes will arrive with the maps, of which one was detailed by the team in name only: “Pitched Battle.” As someone who’s grown a bit tired of the limited modes of the game, this is some welcome news, even if actual details are lacking. With the upcoming content expansions expected to be free, there’s no doubt that the fun multiplayer romp will become even more valuable as Fat Shark & Paradox continue to add to it.
