Sleeping Dogs is succumbing to the Halloween spirit in a way that’s almost required by video games these days: by adding zombies. The recently-announced undead DLC has gained a video, as seen above.
Titled “Nightmare in North Point,” the new content will tell you the somber tale of Big Scar Wu, who basically was kind of a dick and was eventually killed and used to make cat food. I guess we’ve all just inverted that age-old myth– it wasn’t cats in Chinese food, it was Chinese in cat food all along.
At any rate, it looks like Big Scar Wu wasn’t too happy about getting killed and all, so he’s risen from the dead as a personified mascot for Smiley Cat, the food he ended up in. If that weren’t enough, he’s armed with an army of Jiang Shi, which are a legitimately horrifying piece of Chinese mythology.
You can get your hands on this downloadable content right in time for Halloween, on October 30th. I absolutely love when games make use of festivities like this– that’s part of the charm of Costume Quest, or inFamous: Festival of Blood, for example. Let’s hope this is another stellar example of themed DLC!
