The perpetually popular Dragon Quest series is once again receiving a re-release, this time in the form of a 3DS update to Dragon Quest VII. Known as Dragon Warrior VII here in the West, this news should be a particularly exciting revelation for fans of the series, as the only other way to play the game is by purchasing an expensive used copy for the PS1.
The title should be out in February of next year in Japan, with no word of a Western release yet. It looks to be much more of a remake than a mere port, judging by the limited screenshots featured in Jump’s announcement article displayed below.
